Lucas' Prayer

On Friday Night before bed it was time to pray. Micah said "we should all pray tonight." (instead of just daddy praying). So, Micah prayed first. Then it was Lucas' turn. This is what he prayed "Lord please make me big and strong. Big and strong. So I will turn 21 and be able to drink beard (beer)." Then Micah says "mom, it's your turn to pray." How do you pray after that.

Memorial Day Fun

On Memorial day we had some friends over for grilling. The Halls, The Lanes, Ali, and the Whites all came over.

Ethan eating corn on the cob.

Ethan, Julia, Micah

Lucas & Robert were hitting the big balls with bats.

Joe & Julie White who are expecting their first little one in October.

All of the cute little kids. This was the first picture we took and it turned out best.

Staples in Lucas' Head

Sunday afternoon while Becky was triming the lawn Sean was playing with the kids in the back yard. The kids were playing in the water. While they were playing Lucas tripped and fell and hit the crown of his head on a fense post in our back yard and cracked his head open. We went to the ER and they stapled it back together. He will see the family doctor next week to have the staples removed. This injury only slowed him down for about 20 minutes. Here are a few picture (don't worry none with the blood). They are just of the top of his head with the staples.

The Sun does shine in Seattle!!!

Last weekend we had BEAUTIFUL weather. One of the days it reached 91. The boys were excited to go slip-n-sliding. It was such a blessing to have warm weather.

3 Sick Kids and a sick Mom

Well.... it started last week when Micah and Sean had allergies but, perhaps it was a cold. Then we had to take Lucas to the doctor on Saturday and he had bronchitis and pink eye. Then we took Ethan and Micah in to the doctor on Tuesday. They each had bronchitis and pink eye. However, Ethan added in a double ear infection. Then mom went in on Wednesday and had what she thought was bronchitis also but no she just has an ear infection. After $150 in copays and medicines were are all on our way to feeling better. This is only the 2nd time since we have been married that Becky has gone to the doctor (except for ob appointments with the 3 boys). Our wonderful friends Rich & Elaine brought us dinner that was supper yummy last night because we were so sick. They are super great people. We are thankful for their friendship!!!!

Painting Rockets

I bought some stealth jet kits at Michaels for $1 each (one for Lucas & one for Micah). It included everything: the paint, glue, wood, and sand paper. Sean helped the boys put them together. Micah had a lot of fun doing it. Lucas got a bit bored with it.

More Baseball

While Pop-Pops and Grammy Jo were here this weekend they were able to go with us to a baseball game. After the game it has become a must to play on the playground next to the field (it seeem as though every field had a playground next to it).

Pop-Pops and Grammy Jo came to visit this past weekend so we went to the Everett Children's Museum. Ali came along with us also. It is a very fun place. The roof top was open this time so the kids got to play on a large playground and dig for dinosaur bones. The kids are very excited to go again in a couple of weeks when Gramps and Grammy Lynn come to visit.

The Count

Sorry no posts in a while. Not much has happened as of lately. Sean & I did get to get away for our anniversery last week. Ali watched the kids for us all day on Tuesday. We wandered around with nothing pressing to do. It was great.
The most exciting thing that happened today was that Lucas counted all the way to 59. I was in shock. He and Micah were playing hide-n-seek. Lucas said "I'm going to count to 59." I though ok sure go for it. Well, he did it without skipping a number. This is impressive to me because he is only 4 1/2. And to exit kindergarten (which he doesn't start until fall of '08) you only have to count to 31. Prehaps it has to do with his autism but, whatever the reason it was impressive to this mom.

Lucas 2nd Baseball Game

Wow... what a game of t-ball. Some kids use the t others are pitched to, some are older, some are younger, lots of parents on the field, everyone bats every inning. But, they sure do have fun. This is a great introduction to baseball for Lucas.
These are picture of Lucas running the bases. Sorry the pictures are not super clear they are taken from behind a fence.

The back of his uniform even has his name on it. He picked #5 (I think because that's how old he will be on his birthday).

This is Lucas & his friend Abe from church. It is fun for them to play on the team together!
