Lucas' Birthday

We celebrated our final birthday for the month of September. Lucas turned 5 yesterday. We have started to have the kids open their presents in the morning before Sean leaves for work. Lucas go some fun stuff... a Superman shaking car, playmobile toys, and a thomas the train water tank, and a few other things. The last picture is of Lucas in his Superman underoos. We had Bible study last night so we brought cake for dessert to celebrate. We didn't get any pictures because we left it at home. Mom, Micah, & Etan missed that part of the celebration because we had to stay home with a sick Micah.

Micah's Birthday

Micah had his 4th birthday last Friday. We had McDonalds for dinner (his choice). He also got lots of Spiderman gifts.

A work in Progress

Sean has been working super hard to "finish" our house. With help from many friends here is what is done as of the last few weeks... New windows, new siding in places, prep for painting. We are really hoping and praying for good weather this Saturday as we are planning to paint on Saturday. After the house is painted on the exterior we will be much closer to being "done". Only 5 major things left but when you compare them to some of the things that we have done these 5 things seem minor. So... what's left... remove a stump in the front, pour a cement patio in the back, replace the sheetrock in the family room & move a door, repaint some of the interior, and trim in the house. We hope to be done by Christmas!!!

Enjoying the September Sun

Here are some pictures of the boys climbing in the tree in the center island on our street. They decided to climb the tree after doing some bike riding. Ethan got a bike helmet for his birthday with some birthday money. He loved wearing his new helmet just like the big brothers. He is riding in the neighbor's wagon. He loved it!!!

1st Day of School

Lucas is back to school again. This is his 3rd year of preschool because he has a September birthday and in Washington you can start kindergarten unless you turn 5 before September 1st (not like California). He was very excited to start "regular school" as he calls it (because he went to summer school this summer). He has Mrs. Barnes as his teacher again. She is wonderful. There are not many teachers as good as her. We are very thankful and blessed that Lucas has her again!!!
Micah is also doing "school" at home with mom. He has workbooks and is learning to write, and do math, and starting to read. He really likes to be able to do school also.
I tried to get a picture of all 3 of them but, I had a hard time as you can see from the pictures.

Ethan's Birthday

So, we haven't update the blog in a while. The reason... we are doing some remodeling around here and a wire was cut. We had DSL and the phone line that was use to connect to the internet was cut. Long story short we switched to cable internet and now we can update the blog.
These are pictures from Ethan's 2nd Birthday. He turned 2 on the 1st of this month. He loves Elmo so he got an Elmo toy from Becky's parents. We wrapped everything in Elmo paper also and he was very excited about that. Then I made him a Pablo cake. Pablo is his favorite character on the Backyardigans show. Though he doesn't really like to watch any t.v. It was a fun day for him

Mariners Game

Sean and I went to a Mariners game last night. Some friends had some tickets that they could not use so they gave them to us. They were some of the best tickets that either of us have had before. We were 8 rows up from the 3rd base line. We were just a little past 3rd base by the side of the out field. We haven kept up with this season but, it was still fun to go. It was fun to be out just the 2 of us. We are a bit tired from getting home late from the game but, that is all part of it.

Blueberry Patch

On Friday we went to pick blueberries. We picked about 14 pounds. Micah was the only one to stop to smile.

New Bunk Beds

The bunk beds have arrived. Sean put them together last Monday. The boys love them. Ethan is now in a toddler bed. What big boys!

Forest Park

Thursdays this summer we have had park days with the ladies from church. This time was at Forest Park in Everett. What a great place with tons to do and all for free. This time my mom was also up from California for a day and a half. It was fun to have her there with us. The kids played on the playground, pet the farm animals, went in the water, and got to ride on a horse. This was the first time the boys had riden on a horse. Ethan was just 3 weeks too young to ride on the horse. So he will have to wait until next year for that.
