To be healthy would be a really great thing. This time it all started last Monday when Lucas threw up. Well, it went down hill from there. On Friday when we finally took Lucas in to the doctor because of a terrible cough and high fever (102+ depending on the day) we were told to get a chest xray. Why a chest xray... that's right pneumonia. Yep... this time it was pneumonia instead of bronchitis. The doctor told us that if his oxygen saturation levels had been any lover he would have sent us down to children's hospital and if it got worse or did not improve that evening that we were to take him to children's hospital. Thankfully at midnight Friday when we checked him his fever had broken. Then after Lucas got sick Becky got sick and so did Ethan and Micah... not pneumonia just a bad cough. This is a first in our family that Becky got it along with the boys and not Sean. At least Lucas was the only one that needed to see the doctor. By the way in case we have failed to mention Ethan is crawling... at least commando style (flat on the floor). He is getting up on all fours and rocking back and forth so it will not be long till he is all over the place.

Teeth
That's right Ethan got his first tooth... well, he actually got two at once. He now has his 2 bottom front teeth. They broke the surface on the 14th. He is growing up so fast.
In other news... Lucas has slept through the night the last 5 nights. What a blessing. Now, if we could just get all three of them to sleep through the night. A funny story about Micah. At around 3:30 am on Saturday morning when I woke up because Ethan was crying I looked over in the bed and what did I see... Micah. He had climbed into bed with us and fallen asleep without either of us noticing. He comes to our room just about every night and then we return him to his room. This is the first time that he climbed in and neither one of us noticed.

Double Ear Infection
We went to our favorite place ever... the dr.'s office. I took Ethan in today because he had a little cold and woke up this morning with a swollen eye. So, I thought he might have an eye infection. Nope, just a double ear infection. He had not even shown signs of an ear infection. The doctor said he is on his way to needing tubes in his ears. We are hoping not.

Autism
As I am sure anyone who would read our blog knows... Lucas is autistic. In many ways autism is one of the most confusing conditions filled with many ups and downs. Oprah just aired a great and very informative show about what autism is. It helps people who do not have children with autism to understand more about it. There is also a charity called Autism Speaks which is raising money for research in the field of autism. It has a great video about what daily life is like for a family with a child with autism. If you ever wonder what life is like for us this is a picture of some of this thing that we deal with on daily basis in different degrees than in the video... most are easier for us and some harder. Just click this link and then click the "Autism Every Day" Video is is 13:20 minutes. http://www.autismspeaks.org/sponsoredevents/autism_every_day.php We have the hope that I don't know that the people in this video have... Jesus... and his sustaining grace. Autism is difficult but, God allows everything to happen for a reason even autism. May we bring God glory as we seek to raise our child with autism and by God's good grace may he and our other two children know Christ as lord and savior.
